The Electronic Cigarette Gains Approval In Many Hospitals As Debate Continues

While the debate about electric cigarettes continues, more and more hospitals are allowing their use on their property, quietly showing what ground level doctors think about the products.
Last July, the FDA issued a warning regarding the electric cigarette and it appears the public and medical industry just aren't buying the story at a time when the public distrusts the government more than at any other time in history. On the heels of that announcement, Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) in the United Kingdom released a favorable position on E-cigarettes stating; "E-cigarettes, which deliver nicotine without the harmful toxins found in tobacco smoke, are likely to be a safer alternative to smoking. In addition, E-cigarettes reduce secondhand smoke exposure since they do not produce smoke."

Health Benefits of Vaporizing

Many scientific tests have found out that vaporizing drastically reduces or totally eliminates release of health dangerous substances and compounds most common when smoking. Because the process of combustion is not necessary and not used in vaporizing, production of toxic gases including carbon monoxide, ammonia, and hydrogen cyanide is significantly lowered, if not totally eradicated. This is good news to health aware consumers. Thus, accumulation of harmful compounds and carcinogens from smoking is prevented.

It seems the electronic cigarette is now poised to take on Hollywood by storm, as well!

A-list Hollywood superstar Leonardo Di Caprio has recently been spotted using electronic cigarettes. The 34-year-old actor, whose most successful movie to date is Titanic, was seen puffing away while biking through Manhattan’s East Village with his fellow actor pals — Lukas Haas, Tobey Maguire and Kevin Dillon.

The world’s most famous ‘It’ girl, Paris Hilton, stunned clubbers by puffing on what looked like a normal cig whilst indoors – despite California’s ban on smoking.

Electronic Cigarette – A New Vaping Culture

Electronic cigarettes may have only been around for a few years but they have already assembled much more than a cult following. Smoking electronic cigarettes, or "vaping" as it's known to those within its growing community of participants is fast become a culture or a way of life in its own right.

Just who are involved within these communities? It is probably fair to say that most involved are ex smokers of traditional tobacco cigarettes or "analogs" as the vaping community call them. Those that believe that because of the absence of tobacco in electronic cigarettes, insist that they are a less dangerous prospect than the old analogs that they used to smoke.

E cigarette companies themselves are no longer permitted to market their product in such a way. In fact, there are a whole host of different legal problems associated with the marketing of e cigs in many different parts of the world but it doesn't seem to be slowing the growth of the vaping community.

Can Electronic Cigarettes Be The Future Of Cigarette Smoking?

Simple Modification of The 510 E-cigarette for More Vapor, More Flavor

I have been using my 510 electronic cigarette for 2 weeks now. Not really satisfied with the vapor and flavor that I’m getting so I used a direct drip tip with it. The flavor is really rich but the vapor is a bit lame and I noticed that the battery life is shortened. Battery life is longer when using the default cartridge. I guess this is because the atomizer heats up faster when the liquid is not touching it directly when direct dripping. I examined the cartridge closely and find out how the flavor is delivered to the atomizer. I concluded that once the soaked fibers touching the atomizer are dried up, capillary action takes place to transfer the remaining liquid to the dried up part. To better assist this process, I decided to modify my cartridge.

Here is what I did to my 510 to get it to produce more vapor and deliver better flavor.
